BEING OF LOVE <3 was a freestyle that came to me in my adolescent room in Baltimore. I was listening to a beat and as I laid in my bed, I heard "I'm a being of love." I kept repeating it, then started up GarageBand and recorded it — it was like a stream of consciousness flow.

I loved that I said I was a being of love. Then I wanted to be free and add Spanish, so I said "mi alma es eterna, es mi arma secreta" — and I loved it.

I was actually going to release a different song instead of this one, but one of my homies said no — you have to put it out. I re-recorded it, loved the evolved version, and decided to incorporate it.

This song represents the maiden — the young girl who sees everything around her with eyes of wonder. I wanted to encapsulate the emotion of that timeframe: being endlessly curious and overly giving of your love. Loving because you want to transform through love. To transform with others is evolution — and that is the purpose of all life.
